Bedouin Society in the Emirates: Efficiency of Documents and Narration Dialects, Conference - Khaleej Times

ABU DHABI — Globalistion in its present unilateral form poses a threat to societies, particularly the Arab society, since it endangers the Arab identity and values based on religious teachings, Dr Abdullah Abdul Kareem Al Reyes, Director-General of the Centre for Documentation and Research (CDR), has said.
...
The conference is the launching pad for a new methodology which the CDR will adopt in fulfiling its multi-purpose missions aimed at serving the UAE society, he said, adding that the conference would be a valuable record of Bedouin heritage, and would document their nomadic life and transfer it from oral narration to written history.
It seems that the aim is preservation of a record of the Bedoin and an appreciation of their culture, not preservation of the Bedoin themselves. The latter is simply impossible except for the few who continue to elect to stay with this rigorous way of life.

But why is that when "prominent historians, anthropologists, diplomats, psychologists, architects, linguists and environmentalists" gather they speak in code. "Efficiency of Documents and Narration Dialects." Mercy. I trust you, you have something important to say.
