UAE's stock markets loses $152.1 billion in H1:: MENAFN

Why? I don't know. I'm not that kind of economist. Very few of us are.

Markets fluctuate for a variety of reasons:

1) Success of a business model
2) Perceived integrity of the business market and/or the marketplace
3) General economic conditions.

That the market declined so broadly suggests that conditions 2 & 3 played a prominent role.

Personally, I think gold is a darn good alternative, these days.

abundant liquidity, or if i may say lots of money as a reason of high oil prices, and a limited number of listed stocks resulted in over-valuation, with share prices exceeding by far the fair value. Correction was eminent.
