Not to put too fine a point on it

Agreed. However, think of economics papers where the data came in at two significant digits, and the author reports regression results, including F-stats, Chi-squares, coefficients, etc., to five or six significant digits.

Mugabe is bad, but these days, many central bankers have begun to take an easy view of inflation. In the US, October 12 month inflation stands at 3.5 percent, the UK RPI is at 4.2 percent, while in the eurozone, the ECD recently added 0.5 percent to their HCPI. Meanwhile, China has an inflation rate of 6.5 percent.
