Marks & Spencer had it right the first time
Why should smaller ladies pay the same as larger ladies when larger bras cost more to make? That's what Marks & Spencer thought when it ended its uniform pricing practice. But then larger ladies complained. The result?
I'm waiting for the smaller ladies to complain that M&S is not giving them enough support.

An M&S spokesman announced: “We’ve heard what our customers are telling us — that they are unhappy with the pricing on our DD-plus bras and that basically we’ve boobed.Read it all here.
“So from tomorrow, no matter what size you buy, the price will be the same.
I'm waiting for the smaller ladies to complain that M&S is not giving them enough support.

You'll know, as an economist - that the difference in material cost of fabric and thread is infinitessimal when compared to the eventual retail price. It costs M & S virtually nothing to do this, and the increased prices for larger sizes (a blanket 2 quid, I think) seem like a rip-off. But the way they have dealt with it (we boobed) has, I think, enhanced their cred.
